About PayNumera
PayNumera is an independent U.S. paycheck, salary and tax calculator platform founded by Ali Raza in 2026. Our free tools help you understand pay, compare compensation and explore tax estimates using clearly stated assumptions.

Who is PayNumera for?
A salary offer tells you what a job pays before deductions. A pay stub tells you what happened in one pay period. PayNumera helps connect those two views, so you can see how a work schedule, withholding choice or deduction changes an estimate.
Our tools are built for employees checking take-home pay, hourly workers comparing schedules, job seekers weighing offers and small employers exploring payroll costs. You can change an input, inspect the breakdown and compare a second scenario without creating an account.
These are planning tools. They do not file a tax return, run employer payroll, determine your legal entitlement to wages or replace advice about your individual circumstances. The financial disclaimer explains these limits.
What can you calculate?
PayNumera has 10 calculators, organized around the questions people ask about their pay:
- What might reach my bank account? Use the Paycheck Calculator or Hourly Paycheck Calculator to estimate supported withholding and deductions.
- How do two pay rates compare? The Salary Calculator, Salary to Hourly Calculator and Hourly to Salary Calculator convert gross earnings using your work schedule.
- What changes with extra pay? Explore hours and rates with the Overtime Calculator, or eligible federal supplemental withholding methods with the Bonus Tax Calculator.
- How might withholding and annual tax differ? The W-4 Withholding Calculator compares federal withholding choices. The separate Income Tax Calculator estimates annual tax within its stated scope.
- What might an employee cost? The Payroll Calculator combines employee pay with modeled employer taxes and entered benefit costs.
Our financial and tax guides explain the terms behind the tools and show how to use estimates in everyday planning.
Does PayNumera cover every state?
Our state directory has a page for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Calculation coverage varies by feature: 45 jurisdictions currently have supported resident ordinary-wage payroll coverage, including states with no individual income tax on earned wages.
A listed state does not mean every state tax is included. Annual income tax, bonus withholding, local taxes, paid leave and other payroll programs have separate coverage limits. Check the selected calculator's coverage notice before using a result; unsupported state amounts remain unavailable.
How do we support the numbers?
The shared calculation engine uses published IRS, Social Security Administration and state-agency rules for the supported tax year. Our calculation methodology explains the methods, source references and assumptions. Documented formulas and automated tests support calculation changes.
Official sources and tests help make estimates checkable; they do not make every household or payroll situation part of the model. Content identifies its scope, and the editorial policy explains our sourcing and authorship standards. We only claim professional review when a real reviewer and review scope are identified.
If something appears wrong, send a reproducible example through Contact Us. Our corrections policy explains how we assess reported problems and describe material corrections.
Who runs PayNumera?
Ali Raza is PayNumera's Solo Developer & Founder. Founded in 2026, the platform is independently operated and focused on making pay calculations easier to understand. Development work includes the calculator interface, shared calculation modules and the explanations that help people interpret results.
PayNumera is not a government agency, tax preparation service or payroll processor. Its educational content and calculators are provided under the PayNumera name; linking to an official source does not imply that the agency endorses the platform.
Free access, funding and privacy
The public calculators and guides are free to use. Display advertising is part of the planned funding model, but ads are currently disabled. Our advertising disclosure sets out how advertising must remain separate from formulas, results and editorial decisions.
Calculator arithmetic runs in your browser, and ordinary calculation does not require your name or email. Feedback submissions, saved preferences and links you choose to share have different data implications. Read the privacy policy before submitting personal information or sharing a calculation scenario.
